Should Boris Johnson lift all Covid rules on June 21? We want to hear your views

Should we lift restrictions - or should we hold out a little longer?

That's the key question facing Boris Johnson in the coming days and weeks - but we want to know what YOU think Britain should do.

Covid restrictions are still scheduled to be lifted on June 21, a day dubbed 'Freedom Day'.

However, the emergence of the fast-spreading Delta variant, previously known as the Indian variant, has threatened to derail the Government's plans.

Cases are creeping up, sparking third wave concerns among some scientists who fear that lifting restrictions completely on June 21 could cause more hospitalisations and deaths - especially with many still in need of a second or even a first jab.

However, others argue that Britain has suffered long enough, and that the incredible success of the vaccine rollout has protected millions - especially our most vulnerable - and that lives and the economy can't stay on hold forever.

And while hospitalisations have risen in some variant hotspots, deaths are still low - with none recorded on Tuesday, June 1.

These are the issues the Prime Minister must wrestle with. Now ChronicleLive has created a new survey (below) for our readers to share their views on the subject.

Should we open up in less than three weeks? Or should we just sit tight?
