Should Bengals rebrand jerseys and logo for upcoming new era?

It seems like questions surrounding the logo and jerseys of the Cincinnati Bengals come around on an annual basis.

And if the simple fact the questions weren’t telling enough for the organization that something needs to change — the answer is usually yes by a majority.

The question as to whether the Bengals should change their look in one area, if not both, certainly popped up last year after the arrival of Zac Taylor.

But the questions become even more pertinent this year while staring down the barrel of drafting Joe Burrow at No. 1, fully ushering in a new era. If nothing else, rebranding the jerseys and logos could help start to remove the stink of a 2-14 season.

Plenty have attempted to redesign the jerseys in the past to interesting results:

Going back to a more classical look like the old-school days would make plenty of sense:

Just keep the helmet the same, right?

And don’t forget the color rush option, which has a cleaner, sleeker look many seem to like:

As for the logo itself, the “B” has worn out its welcome. Any illustration of the animal itself, either from the past or new, could help change the look and feel.

Either way, while the Bengals don’t seem intent on anything like this, even the Cleveland Browns are getting new uniforms. If nothing else, redoing the look a bit would re-energize fans at a good time.
