Shotts school pupils pay visit to care home residents in Halloween costume

The residents of Rosehall Manor Care Home in Shotts received a spooky Halloween surprise, when some of the pupils from nearby Dykehead Primary School paid them a socially distanced visit.

The children, and staff, paraded their fancy-dress costumes in the grounds of the home and gave the residents a wee wave.

The delighted residents looked on from their windows and the children were thrilled to put a smile on their faces.

Dykehead Primary head teacher Tracey McCulloch, said: “I am incredibly proud that our children brought so much joy to these residents.

"We continuously seek to form partnerships in our local community, and intergenerational work such as this really teaches the children to show respect and care for elderly members of the local community.”
