Shotts boxer Scott Allan believes he is gearing up for a war in his British title eliminator bout.
The 27-year-old will battle it out with Marc Leach at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on September 19.
says all the hard work is done ahead of tough challenge against the Englishman.
He said: “I’m really excited now. When I took this fight I was offered the chance to face a prospect, and that’s what I feel like I’ve got.
“He is higher than me in the rankings so he’s not just coming up here to lose, it’s going to be a war against someone with calibre.
“I want to keep showing that I can compete at this level, I want to go even further than this.
“It’s another fight that means I can show that I belong in these types of fights.
“If I can win then I’ll have the British title in my sights, but it would be ridiculous for me to look beyond someone who is above me in the rankings.”
