Shotts Bon Accord boss John McKeown hopes his side can stay on Arthurlie coattails this weekend when they travel to Lugar.
The Bonny were in Junior Cup action last weekend - easing past Nairn St Ninian’s in the first round thanks to a Jordan Logan brace, plus strikes from Danny Burns and Paul Chalmers - and return to league business aiming to keep it tight at the top of West of Scotland League Conference A.
Arthurlie lead the way from Shotts by a point at the top of the table, having played a game less, so McKeown knows his side need to keep the heat on this weekend.
He said: “We are behind Arthurlie and they’ve got a game in hand, but we just need to keep winning and keep the pressure on them.
“Lugar is a hard place to go.
"It’s never easy down in Ayrshire and Lugar have been scoring a lot of goals, despite being down the bottom end of the table.
“They are conceding a lot so we’ll need to make sure we take our chances and keep the back door shut.
“I’m glad to see the back of the Wednesday-Saturday games and things settling down
“It’s been constant and I’m sure all managers will feel the same; they’ll get to work on some things now.”
