'Shots fired' in Dublin estate for second time in weeks as gardai launch probe

Gardai have launched an investigation after shots were reportedly fired at a home in this afternoon.

Scores of officers descended upon the Greenfort estate near Liffey Valley in Clondalkin, Dublin in response to the alleged shooting.

Footage obtained by Dublin Live shows the apparent chaos as the estate flooded out onto Greenfort Crescent after a house on the road was targeted.

The same home fired at in this incident was reportedly targeted during a previous shooting just weeks ago.

Shots were fired and the home was broken into on a late October evening, but thankfully no injuries were reported.

Gardai were said to be enquiring into whether the attack was linked to a bitter feud in the area, according to the Irish Independent.

Gardai told Dublin Live: "Gardai in Ronanstown are investigating an alleged incident of shots fired on Greenfort Crescent, this afternoon Sunday 29th November, 2020 at approximately 3.45 p.m.

"Gardai attended the scene and no persons were injured and no damage to any property was evident.

"Investigations ongoing."
