Police are investigating two reports of shots fired into homes in Moston on Monday.
The blasts happened at different addresses less than a mile apart.
Police were called first to Teddington Road to reports of shots fired at a property at around 12.30am.
Later in the day, at around 2.40pm, they were called to Gainford Gardens to reports of a 'firearms discharge' at another house.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence and remains in custody for questioning.
Superintendent Umer Khan, of GMP’s North Manchester District, said: "While we have someone in custody I would like to stress that our investigation does not stop here and also reassure members of the public that we are taking these reports extremely seriously.
"I understand that these events will undoubtedly have an impact on those in the local community and for this reason there will be an increased police presence in the coming days. "
"So please, if you have any issues or concerns reach out to these officers who are very much here to help.
"I would also implore anyone who thinks can assist our enquiries to come forward.
"If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, please speak with officers at the earliest opportunity."
