Shots fired at houses in Co Louth and Co Dublin over Bank Holiday weekend

A garda probe has been launched after shots were fired at a house in Co Louth on Sunday night.

The front window of the house, located in Rockfield Manor on Hoey's Lane in Dundalk, was broken after two shots were fired at 11.40 pm.

There were no injuries reported.

A spokesperson for the gardai said: “ Gardaí at Dundalk Co Louth are investigating an incident at Rockfield Manor, Hoeys Lane, Dundalk last night, Sunday April 21 2019 at approximately 11.40pm.

Gardai appeal for information after group of armed men assault and drive over cyclist in north Dublin

“It is understood from initial enquiries that two shots were fired at a house at the above location breaking a front window, occupants were in the house at the time.

“The scene is currently preserved pending a Garda technical examination. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.

“Investigations are continuing.”

Meanwhile there were reports of shots fired at a house in Clonsilla, Co Dublin on Monday morning.

The spokesperson added: “Gardai are currently at the scene of an incident in Clonsilla.

“Reports of shots fired at a house on the Whitechapel Rd, Clonsilla D15 at approximately 11.45 am, Monday April 22, 2019. No injuries reported.”
