Shot actor’s husband issues emotional tribute: ‘He saved my life’

  • Jonathan Joss, known for his roles in King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation, has died at 59 after being shot in San Antonio, Texas.
  • Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to Joss's death; his bond is set at $200,000.
  • The shooting occurred after a dispute with a neighbor near Joss's former home, which had burned down in February, killing his three dogs.
  • Joss's husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, said his husband “pushed me out of the way” and “saved my life” when the shooting began.
  • Gonzalez claimed the shooting was a homophobic hate crime, stating they had received threats and faced harassment; however, police say there is no evidence to support this claim so far.
