Shortlist revealed for young professionals' business awards

The shortlist for an annual awards celebrating Greater Birmingham's up-and-coming business talent has been revealed.

The awards, which is run by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, will celebrate achievement among under 35s across 12 categories before crowning the overall winner for 2021.

This year's event combines the Future Faces and Birmingham Young Professional of the Year awards after the latter's organiser, networking group BPS Birmingham, was merged into Future Faces last year.

The 2021 judging panel was chaired by Anjum Khan, director of the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce, who was joined by Michelle Adams from Squire Patton Boggs, Byron Carnegie of Jamaya, Joanna Drinkwater from Grant McKnight, Councillor Brigid Jones from Birmingham City Council and Mark Smith from Aston University.

Ms Khan said: "Once again this year we have had a record number of entries. The calibre of applications has been outstanding."
