Shortlist revealed for Birmingham Post Business Awards 2019

The shortlist for the 2019 Birmingham Post Business Awards can be revealed.

This year's awards will celebrate business excellence across 12 different categories including four new prizes for corporate social responsibility, hospitality, property and young businessperson.

The 2019 list of finalists includes small businesses, start ups, household names and large corporations.

This year's judging panel was chaired by Birmingham Post editor-in-chief Marc Reeves who was joined by Lucy Fardy, relationship director with Barclays, PwC's Midlands private business leader Neil Philpott and Sarah Pullen, Midlands managing director for Birmingham Post publisher Reach plc.

Mr Reeves said: "It's always a tough but very satisfying job judging the entries to our annual business awards as it reaffirms our faith in the Greater Birmingham business community at such a tumultuous time, politically and economically speaking.

"And it's particularly pleasing that we are recognising the achievements of young entrepreneurs and business people with their own dedicated category - one of four new ones for 2019.

"I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to enter and congratulate the finalists and I look forward to the awards ceremony in September."
