One of the biggest nights on the Merseyside calendar will soon be here – and we can now reveal the shortlist for the ECHO Awards 2019 , in partnership with SP Energy Networks.
This region’s heroes will be hailed during a heartwarming and uplifting night of celebration in the spectacular surroundings of the Rum Warehouse, in the Titanic Hotel , on Friday, September 20.
A host of showbusiness stars will be joining the party, which is already close to being a full house. There are just a few tickets left – to book, please call the events team on 0151 472 2571 or email katie.isaacson@reachplc.com
As well as the glittering awards ceremony – presented by original Big Brother winner Craig Phillips and Hollyoaks actress Jessica Fox – there will be a three-course dinner and live entertainment.
And, as Craig told us: “The ECHO Awards are brilliant – each year, I think the event gets better. The stories you hear are incredible – there are some tough, tough stories involving people who have been through so much. We have some absolutely heroic people across Merseyside.”
ECHO Print Editor Sue Lee said: “This is always one of the highlights of the year. It’s a chance for the ECHO to honour some of the most remarkable people in our region. They really do deserve their night in the spotlight, and to be applauded for their fantastic achievements.
“This year, I was again proud and privileged to join the judging panel – and it’s a task which certainly doesn’t get any easier! But all of us who were involved are thrilled to be able to recognise the efforts of some of the very best people in our community.
“A large number of individuals and organisations were nominated, and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time and trouble to make their choices. And, of course, I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate everyone who has made it onto the shortlist.
“We can now look forward to a really special night at the Titanic Hotel on September 20 – a night to make everyone in Merseyside feel proud.”
The awards are again being held in partnership with SP Energy Networks, and director Stephen A Stewart said: “SP Energy Networks are proud to be sponsoring the ECHO Awards in 2019.
“We see these awards as an integral part of the Merseyside way of life and we are committed to helping our local communities to celebrate all the great people of Merseyside.”
The ECHO is also delighted to have the support of our other sponsors – Antrec Limited, Community Foundation for Merseyside, Merseyrail and Arriva North West.
