The Minor Injuries Unit at Prince Philip Hospital in Carmarthenshire will operate a nurse-only service this evening.
Hywel Dda Health Board said there would be no doctor available at the unit.
It has blamed staffing pressures for the problem. The nurse only service will run tonight (Friday, October 1) between 6pm and 9am.

A Hywel Dda spokesperson said: "In response to staffing pressures the health board recently operated a temporary nurse-led service at the MIU in Prince Philip Hospital for a period on Monday, August 30, 2021. However, we have recently appointed two new GPs to work in the unit which will strengthen our provision in this area and ensure that patients who need a GP can continue to be seen as normal.
"We have experienced and skilled ENPs at the hospital who are trained to deliver minor injury care to patients and support is available from other medical staff in the hospital should patients with more serious conditions present. As always we would encourage members of the public to consider how best they can access care for their need, including the NHS111 Symptom Checker."
The health board asks if you need medical attention, that you use the 111 Symptom Checker in the first instance or call 111 to access care.
In serious, life-threatening medical emergencies please call 999.
