Short-handed Lakers defeat Bulls, 96-90

CHICAGO _ Despite finishing a back-to-back set of games and playing without their starting backcourt, the Lakers downed the Bulls, 96-90, Wednesday night at the United Center.

Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson each scored 18 points to lead a dominant bench effort for the Lakers, who won despite 24 turnovers.

Jimmy Butler posted his 11th straight game with 20 or more points, scoring 22. But he missed an open 3-point shot that would've tied the game with 15 seconds left.

Dwyane Wade, who fractured a root in his tooth and underwent a dental procedure on Tuesday to have it removed, scored 17 points in 31 minutes after missing Wednesday's morning shootaround.

Wade has only missed one game this season, the Bulls' victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles 10 days ago for rest.

For the Lakers, guards D'Angelo Russell and Nick Young were out with injuries.
