Kippax Fair has been evacuated this afternoon as fire crews attended the scene of a blaze in a restaurant.
ACT Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire in the kitchen which was left damaged by fire, smoke and water. The fire did not spread to any other part of the building.
Crews were called to the scene just before 3.30pm on Monday and used multiple resources to put out the blaze including three pumpers.
Several patrons evacuated when a fire alarm activated. Kippax Fair is closed to the public.
Crews will remain on scene for some time to conduct atmospheric monitoring and to complete fire investigations.
