Shopping at Aldi can save you almost £10 a time as it is named cheapest

Consumer group Which? conducted its monthly Cheapest Supermarket price comparison and looked at the cost of a basket of 23 items, including groceries and household essentials, with Aldi coming in cheapest at just £24.24

The independent consumer group's research found Aldi to be £9.57 cheaper than the most expensive supermarket for an equivalent basket of items.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said: “We’re dedicated to providing our customers with the best prices possible for the highest quality products. With Christmas just around the corner, we’re proud that we’ve been yet again recognised as the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket.”

The news comes just days after Aldi announced that it has partnered with Just Chill Baby Sleep to launch heavily discounted infant sleep courses to its customers, in a supermarket first.

Costing as little as £27, Aldi’s baby and toddler brand Mamia is offering the life-changing tool to help parents and families become their own sleep experts and claim back their well-earned sleep, at a fraction of the usual cost.
