Shoppers troll ASOS clothes for looking like 'bin bags'

Shoppers have taken aim at a faux leather range on ASOS, comparing the clothes to "bin bags".

Fashion fans were brutal about a number of dresses, tops and hoodies on the fashion retailer's website.

Instagram account asbos_sos, who share bizare ASOS items on sale, first spotted the bizarre trend.

A shiny black one-shoulder £16 dress with frills caught the attention of shoppers who compared the fabric to bin liners.

In a message to their legion of 37,700 followers, the outfit critic wrote: “Stay alert, it’s bin day.”

The page finished up the post with some amusing hashtags, including #BinJuice, #BinDayRunway and #BinDayIstheNewFriday.

The dress wasn’t the only item to be compared to black bin bags, with a shiny T-shirt dress and sleeveless frock also ridiculed.

When it came to menswear, a faux leather hoodie took a lot of flack - making it clear the trend isn't for everyone.

The post racked up 1,100 likes and dozens of comments, leaving many in stitches.

Fashionistas shared their views on the trend as one joked: 'A bit late, bin day was yesterday. Still funny, though!"

Another commented: "Pity they ran out bin bags before they finished that one armed monstrosity."

One person wrote: "Ooh thanks for the reminder, it's literally tonight!!"

A further amused shopper joked: "Perfect for taking out the trash".
