Shoppers think Cadbury's new white chocolate tastes 'just like the Dream bars'

Old school Cadbury's fans might remember when Dream bars lined the shelves of supermarkets and corner shops.

The retro chocolate bar was made of creamy, thick white chocolate encased in a shiny blue wrapper.

Sweet-toothed fans were devastated when Cadbury stopped selling the treats in England and Wales some years ago.

However, the chocolatier has released a new white chocolate bar, exclusively at Asda

And Twitter users have been commenting on the similarities between the new £2 white chocolate addition and Dream bars.

A user with the handle @TaylorBAFC commented: "This new Cadbury White chocolate tastes exactly like what the Dream bars used to taste like."

While @lunarlightsoph posted: "The new Cadbury’s white chocolate tastes the same as dream used to and I’m happy."

And @courthackettx said: "Cadbury’s new white chocolate bar is basically a big version of the old Cadbury’s Dream bar !!! (if uno, uno ) My prayers have finally been answered."

Meanwhile, some shoppers have taken to the Asda website to have their say on the new treat.

A fan said: "Words cannot describe how much I love this! Great taste just like the 'Dream Bar', just rebranded."

But not everyone shares the same sentiment.

Another customer also took to the Asda site to say: "Way too sickly. Not a nice creamy flavour just tastes like sugar. Not a patch on Milkybar or the old Dream. Shame it could have been amazing!"
