Shoppers' shock at finding 'serious' crime scene taped off at Leeds supermarket

Customers and employees at a Leeds supermarket have spoken of their shock after seeing a large police cordon in the car park.

Police have sectioned off an area of the Morrisons car park on The Oval, Hunslet, following an incident which is believed to have happen during the evening on Thursday, November 12.

West Yorkshire Police are yet to issue a statement about the crime scene, but LeedsLive have spoken to concerned shoppers in south Leeds.

One man said: "Everything’s getting worse and worse. I’m not really shocked. People aren’t nice. You’d be surprised what people are capable of.

"There are too many bad people. People are getting worse. I don’t understand it, I really don’t. I accept it but I don’t understand it."

Meanwhile, another customer commented: "It must be something serious."

A woman who works at Iceland, opposite the Morrisons store, said: "I work at Iceland over the road and when I got out of work just before 7pm last night it was cordoned off but I couldn’t see anything."
