Finding a worthy dupe is an opportunity to make some large savings, which is why a perfume double has been so popular in bargain Facebook pages.
Shoppers have reported that in Home Bargains a series of Air Fresheners have very similar scents to luxury brands like Dior, Chanel and Mugler.
A 300ml can of any of the three scents in the Designer Air Freshener rage cost £1.99 whereas the branded perfumes can cost well over £100.
More than one customer has posted the products in money saving Facebook pages and between them have collected lots of comments from people who all agree the bargain is worth it.
One of the top posts said: "Saw the blue can on here so thought I’d try them.. £1.99 a can from Home Bargains the blue one smells just like Dior Sauvage and the orange just like Coco Chanel.
"We use both perfumes and really does smell the same."
Alien by Mugler is another luxury brand that shoppers say smells like one of the Air Fresheners.
"The Alien and Sauvage is amazing, never tried the other x" commented one shopper.
Another happy customer said: "Lol I am not in touch with a lot of fragrances. However, the Alien one is by far the nicest to me...might be worth a try, the smell does last a while. Hope this is useful to people."
"I bought the blue one yesterday smells amazing will be going back for the others now and double up on them there fab!" was another glowing review from a customer.
Someone else said: "Bought all three today! Love them! X"
"They smell so nice! Especially the blue one ... keeps my sofa smelling lovely for ages !!! X" said someone who used the air freshener on her furniture.
