Shoppers rush to stock up on iconic sweetie energy drink they 'need'

This week in Edinburgh the weather is set to be rather clammy.

It comes as the capital is set to feel the heat this week as the Fringe is soon set to kick off taking place between August 5 and August 29.

According to a recent weather forecast, the city will see sun on Thursday and Friday with today (August 2) predicted to see the hottest temperatures of the week with highs of 23C.

And with the soaring temperatures, people will want to stay hydrated and one drink people are talking about features a pretty iconic sweetie - Sour Patch Kids.

Taking to Facebook's Food Finds UK group, one shopper snapped a photo of what they had come across whilst online shopping. In the caption they wrote the drink was "tasty" and later revealed in the comments they had bought it online from Candymail.

The sugar-free drink costs £4.49 on their website with the 473ml can coming in a blue raspberry flavour. The product description reads: "GHOST have created an Energy drink that can be used beyond the walls of the gym, leaning heavily on focus-based ingredients – Acetyl-l-carnitine and taurine teamed with 150mg of alpha-GPC, and 100mg NeuroFactor paired with the 200mg of natural caffeine.

People love the drink. (Food Finds UK.)

"With a modest dose of AstraGin, too, to increase absorption of many vital, performance-affecting nutrients whilst promoting a healthy gut environment."

The drink comes in other flavours too including sour watermelon as well as sour redberry.
