Every major supermarket had Easter eggs on the shelves since around about the start of March.
But naturally, there are plenty among us who prefer to leave everything to the last minute - and the last minute is here.
And while the likes of Aldi and Lidl are still advertising three eggs for €3, getting your hands on them in-person is proving to be extremely tricky for people.
"Easter eggs - one variety in Aldi Bishopstown - nothing elsewhere. Dunne's Bishopstown, Lidl, Supervalu Carrigaline NADA" tweeted one user about the supply in Cork.
"There wasn't an Easter egg to be had in my local Aldi or Tesco yesterday....bags of jellies it will have to be !!" added another woman.
While Marian Keyes had a dastardly plan on Good Friday.
But there were plenty of people pointing out the obvious in her replies.
"Oh Marian. As a shopkeeper I'm telling you good luck with that. There's feck all left." said one.
"Well good luck with that Marian! Very few left on the shelves. I really struggled to find some. Not an egg left in Dunnes Ashleaf yesterday!! I had to try 4 shops, 3 of which were big supermarkets!!" agreed another.
"Same as me last night, sold out in 2 and a few miserable bashed ones left in the third along with latte flavoured bunnies." added a third.
It was well summed up by Alan Kinsella though.
Before the weekend arrives, for those that might need to pick up a last-minute Easter Egg, or a few items for dinner on Good Friday, here's what you need to know.
Aside from these opening hours, the strict traditionalists might want to avoid eating meat on Friday too!
As always, some local stores might be operating on different hours so it's always good to check ahead, but here's when Tesco, Aldi, Supervalu, Lidl and Dunnes Stores are opening on Good Friday nationwide.
