Shoppers love Aldi's new vegan 'Biscoff' cupcakes

Aldi has launched its own brand version of Caramelised Biscuit – aka ‘Biscoff’ - Cupcakes, as part of its offering this Veganuary.

The treats, which cost £1.09 for two, have been causing a stir on social media.

Vegan Food UK shared news of the launch on Instagram, sparking nearly 10,000 likes and hundreds of comments: “Aldi have just launched their own #vegan Biscoff-style cupcakes in a supermarket first!! These Caramalised Biscuit Cupcakes have Biscoff style icing and crumbly wumbly bits of biscuit on top”.

Fans of the page responded.

One said: “Best Veganuary Yet!”, another added: “Omg biscoff cupcakes!” and a third replied “Aldi have just won Veganuary”.

Another added: “I cannot wait to try the Aldi biscoff cupcake”.

The bite-sized cakes join Aldi’s list of new vegan products that have been added to shelves this month, in honour of the record breaking number of Brits that have this year signed up to Veganuary – now 500,000 and counting.

Aldi’s Vegan Caramelised Biscuit Cupcakes are on sale for £1.09, and are available in store now. They are also available in chocolate.
