Shoppers go wild for USB heated blanket that costs less than £2 a day to run

With the weather turning colder, many people are searching for cheaper ways to keep warm in their homes. As we battle rising energy bills amid the cost-of-living crisis, one particular item from deals site Wowcher is being snapped up fast by shoppers online.

The USB heated blanket costs less than £1.36 to run and offers a great alternative to turning the heating on.

Electric blankets, fleece bedding and hot water bottles have so far proved to be some of the most popular solutions to keeping warm at home.

Wowcher's heated throw can not only be worn as a shawl, but is also wonderfully portable to help you beat the chill on the go.

Priced at £15.99, the USB heated blanket will cost around £1.36 per hour to run and is ideal for those wanting to stay cosy indoors without heating up their entire home, helping to keep bills low.

Nearly a hundred people have bought the item since the product went live this week. It's currently down from £49.99 to just £15.99, making it a total bargain.

The blanket is available in blue, grey and brown in sizes small or large. It has a concealed buckle design and can be wrapped around your shoulders or legs.

It also has a 5V low voltage which is powered by a power bank with a temperature range of 40-45 degrees. Whilst the power bank isn't included, the throw features a power pouch which can be charged via a USB cable charger into a USB port (included).

The small version measures at 45cm by 80cm and is priced from £15.99, while the large size measures at 100cm by 70cm and is priced from £31.99.

You can purchase the USB Heated Blanket Shawl online at wowcher.co.uk.

There are a few other steps to take when getting a Wowcher deal. Once you've purchased an item on the deals site, you'll then need to fetch the redeemable code in your emails.

Wowcher has heaps of offers and discounts currently running on must-have winter buys, including oversized fleece hoodie blankets and thermal fleece lined socks - so there are plenty of items that will help you save money on your energy bill.
