Shoppers get into the Christmas spirit at The Centre Livingston

The stunning sparkly tree and beautiful Christmas decorations at The Centre, Livingston all added to the great day out our Style Squad shoppers were having when we caught up with them just before Christmas - and there was definitely a festive buzz in air!

Whether it was couples shopping for each other, twin sisters enjoying a day together, friends catching up and eating out, or mums spending quality time with their daughters - the one thing they had in common was how much they were all really looking forward to Christmas.

Ashley Bisland, Deputy Centre Director at The Centre, said: “It was lovely to catch up with some of our shoppers who gave us a peek at some of the surprise gifts they’d bought for family and friends.

“It was also a great opportunity for us to be able to surprise them with a £25 Gift Card, which they can spend in over 80 stores and all restaurants in The Centre.”

We loved catching up with product assistant, Rachel Brewster who was having a great day out with her mum, and hearing all about the pressies they had on their list for friends and family.

“They’d already tracked down a few special surprises from New Look and Hotel Chocolat, whose luxurious chocolate treats are guaranteed to please anyone with a sweet tooth on Christmas morning.

Next up on our style radar was business support administrator, Jacqueline Morrison who was combining shopping for gifts with a festive family day out to enjoy The Centre’s Christmas decorations.

When the Street Style Squad caught up with her, Jacqueline had just visited one of her favourite stores, River Island, where she managed to snap up a few stylish stocking fillers.

We also caught up with pharmacy dispenser, Hannah Innes and boyfriend Jordan McPhee, who is in the RAF, both of whom were picking out a few festive treats for each other as well as their friends and family.

On the schedule of shops to visit for Hannah was Primark – where she ticked off quite a few presents from her Christmas shopping list. Next up was a trip to New Look and H&M, followed by a bite to eat to finish the day off in style.

We were delighted to meet twins, Jessica and Megan Kerr on our Style Squad rounds after their successful shopping spree in H&M – a favourite store for them both! Megan had picked up some warm, winter fluffy jumpers and also had some surprise gifts tucked away that he’d bought earlier from Lush for her friends.

Jessica had a checklist of gifts to get on the day too and, after popping into Costa Coffee for a Red Berry Cooler, also indulged in a little self-gifting with a beautiful blazer from H&M.

Relatives Linda and Rosalyn McMahon, and Sharon McCready, were thoroughly enjoying their festive day out at The Centre when we bumped into them and got to find out about some of the goodies they’d bought for family and friends.

After refuelling with hot drinks and cakes at Costa Coffee they had bagged some great gifts in Primark, New Look and River Island, as well as finding a few treats for themselves.

Last up on our final Style Squad walkabout of 2021 was Tracy Riddell and her mum, Isabel Ward who had just enjoyed a lovely pancake breakfast at Stack & Still to set them up for a day of Christmas shopping.

Top of their list of shops to visit was M&S - a firm favourite for them both, especially at this time of year.
