Shoppers fume as Primark's Snuddie is resold on eBay for more than double original price

With the colder months finally here and Christmas just around the corner (sorry), it's no surprise many people are looking to change into warmer clothes and cosy up on the sofa of an evening.

If you're a regular at Primark or have seen the chain's latest trends, you'll know their Snuddie is one of the most popular items coming into winter.

Primark describe their Snuddie as a "snuggly oversized hoodie" which are "designed for those lazy days when your comfiest clothes just don’t cut it. Maybe it’s rainy, you’re feeling snoozy or it’s just a Sunday, but your chill game just got a major glow-up."

There are a variety of the oversized hoodies to chose from including Barbie, Harry Potter, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Stitch, Yoda, Thumper, Winnie The Pooh, PlayStation and Marvel - to name a few.

Primark's version echoes the original 'Oodie', which costs £84, whereas the store's version only costs £14, leaving many flocking to the shops to grab a bargain.

However due to its popularity, the trendy wearable blankets are now being sold online for more than double the price, with the highest currently appearing on eBay for £40.

Taking to a Primark Facebook group, one shopper pointed out they finally understood the reason why they were unable to find the snoodies.

Their post read: "No wonder I couldn't find any snoodies in Primark today - they're all on eBay for £30+".

Replying to the post, one said "I'm after one for my daughter. Managed to get the kids Minecraft one for my son. Can't believe how greedy people are. Hope they get stuck with them!"

Another added: "They did this last year on eBay with the fleece pyjamas. Drove me crazy trying to look for one. So many being sold online for double/triple the price."

A third commented: "Wish people would only buy what they need so everyone has a shot at getting them."

Primark have been contacted for a comment.
