Asda is selling an engagement ring for one pound just in time for Valentine’s Day, and shoppers have some seriously mixed opinions.
As reported by The Mirror, the £1 silver-coloured band includes an imitation diamond jewel.
It comes in a red, heart-shaped box as a gift and is available to buy in stores and online.

The production description reads: "Share some love with this ring.
"With matching heart box."
The bargain has sparked controversy, with some shoppers labelling the ring as ‘cute’ and others laughing at the product.
One Facebook user said: “honestly my man could have proposed to me with a Haribo ring and I would have still said yes, I love him more than any material object some people are just shallow”
Another added: “Ahhh time to mock and make fun of people less fortunate now.. got you. Some nasty comments.
“Also if you judge your worth on material possessions, then it's you with the problem.”
Others were quick to judge, as one Facebook user asked: “Does it come with divorce papers?”
It’s not just Asda that are offering an affordable alternative either, with Poundland bringing back their popular ‘Bling Ring’ just in time for Valentine’s.
With four different rings in different colours all for just one pound, it seems that engagements don’t have to be expensive after all.
