He is loved by millions of children worldwide and a regular on many a parent's TV screens.
Yes, Percy Pig is a legend of our time.
And like any legend, it is only right he should have his own festive advent calendar.
So retail giant Marks and Spencer created one, reports the Mirror Online.
Percy fans were beside themselves with excitement at the prospect of waking up for 24 days of December and tucking into a pink chewy Percy sweet.
But not all are impressed with his Christmas calendar - because it contains chocolate.
And even worse the treats are not even shaped like a pig.
Poor Percy.
Taking to Twitter, dozens of parents have slammed the calendar because of the fact there is no Percy Pig sweet behind each door (despite quite clearly stating on the front that it's got chocolate inside).
But the chocolates inside aren’t even shaped like Percy – or resemble a pig or anything to do with him.
Festive shoppers have taken to social media to vent their frustration.
"First day of winter and my children are disappointed that the Percy Pig advent calendar from @marksandspencer doesn’t contain pig shaped chocolate. Nothing “Percy” about it at all," moaned one parent on social media.
One shopper said she was ‘furious’ after buying the calendar and finding chocolate inside.
The shopper said the friend she had purchased it for didn’t even like chocolate and was ‘embarrassed’ by not eating it.
"Disappointed ... Had a Percy pig advent calendar bought for me. Was thrilled. Didn't read the outside totally gutted to find chocolate behind the doors.... Am I the only one who was expecting a proper Percy sweet?" wrote another.
"Heard on the radio earlier about the marks and Spencer’s Percy Pig advent calendar..... Apparently the treat is a chocolate pig.... Why is it not an ACTUAL Percy Pig #Disapponting ," slammed somebody else.
However other people were happy to defend Percy’s festive offering.
One shopper pointed out: "It clearly states on the advent calendar "24 festive milk chocolate shapes and a bag of Percy Pigs for Christmas day". Why are you furious at Marks & Spencers for something you've not read that is as clear as day on the product itself?
