Shoppers rush to Currys for insanely cheap Galaxy smartphone deal ahead of S23 device launch

The latest Samsung Galaxy S23 devices went on sale in UK retailers today (February 17) and are the first big tech drop of the year so far. As the S23 series overtakes the newest range of smartphones, Currys has dropped the price of the older S21 model.

Shoppers can now get £100 off the S21 Galaxy model, dropping it down to one of the cheapest prices on the market. The S21 originally launched back in 2021 and it's currently the third newest series from the global tech giants.

The discount is down to Currys clearance sale, which takes the whole price of the handset down to £599, giving shoppers £100 off the standard S21 device.

Despite being considered an 'older' model it's still compatible with the same software as the latest S23, making it a popular contender for users who want a phone at a more affordable price. The S21 range also consists of three handsets; the S21, S21+ and the bigger S21 Ultra.

The handset is available at this price in black, green, purple and white all similar colourways to the latest S23 release. Samsung's 'S' range of phones are considered to be the 'top-tier' when it comes to its devices, and rival that of the latest iPhone 14 Pro.

The deal is listed as a 'limited time only' so it will only be available according to stock availablity, so shoppers are urged to be quick.

In tie with the price drop of the S21 device, Currys is also offering a hard-to-miss trade in on the newest S23 models. The launch of the S23 handsets has caused a stir amongst shoppers, as the first biggest tech launch of 2023.

Shoppers who are interested in buying a S23, S23+ or S23 Ultra can save up to £450 if they trade in an older handset. Trade in is a popular way for shoppers to get rid of their older handsets and make room for the newest upgraded S23 device.
