Shoppers can now get sourdough pizza dough from Aldi for just £1.25 and it looks amazing

Budget supermarket Aldi is selling sourdough pizza dough so shoppers can create restaurant quality pizzas from home - and the end result looks delish.

Available now in store for just £1.25 a pack, pizza fans can whip up an Italian feast from their kitchen with just a frying pan and some delicious toppings from Aldi of course.

Popular favourites like Pizza Pilgrims currently sell their pizza kit which makes two pizzas for £14.50, whereas Aldi’s dough and toppings would cost you a mere £7.16 for two - and they look just as tasty.

Aldi’s 'Specially Selected Sourdough Pizza Dough' is available from today (9th June) at all Aldi stores and via their Click & Collect service across the UK.

To find your nearest Aldi store we’ve popped a handy locator tool here for ease. You’ll also be able to find opening and closing times too.

Recreate your favourite pizzas from home in just 10 minutes (Girl Who Brunches)

The one pan pizza crave swept the country when pizza lovers took matters into their own hands when restaurants were shut during the pandemic.

It seems Aldi’s new dough-licious kits are already proving a hit on Instagram with foodie influencers like Girl Who Brunches, Let’s Get Em and ELJ Eats all getting a slice of the action.

Girl Who Brunches, who boasts over 10,000 followers on Instagram, raved about the new pizza addition from Aldi and captioned the post: @aldiuk have recently launched their own sourdough. It’s so easy: stretch to the desired thickness, cook in a frying pan, add your favourite toppings and finish off under the grill. The perfect lazy weekday dinner in the sun!”

It seems her followers were desperate for a piece with one commenting: “Really impressive, will have to get myself to Aldi!

Another pizza fan commented: “Now this sounds like the dream!”

Best of all? These savvy foodies have revealed it takes just less than 10 minutes to make - we know what we’re having for dinner tonight.

For a classic, tasty margherita, simply roll out the dough with a little plain flour, then transfer to a dry hot pan.

Next, add the toppings starting with Aldi’s Specially Selected Basil & Oregano Passata (£1.15/700g), Emporium Italian Mozzarella (45p/240g), Nature’s Pick Cut Basil (47p/30g) and sprinkle some punchy Specially Selected Italian Parmigiano Reggiano (£2.59/200g), until browned underneath. Finish by placing under a hot grill to melt the cheese and buon appetito.

As the UK enjoys the warmer weather and easing of restrictions, there’s no better time to host an al fresco gathering in your back garden.

Robert Dyas has really upped the ante with its garden range this year by offering a whole host of barbecues and outdoor pizza ovens that make it easy for shoppers to upgrade their outdoor space without breaking the bank.

And now, the retailer is offering an 18-inch barbecue that doubles up as a pizza oven for £30 less than the usual recommended retail price.

The Flamemaster Kettle 18-inch BBQ with Pizza Oven Extension would normally set you back £99.99, but bargain hunters can now snap it up for only £69.99. That's almost 30% off - so what are you waiting for?
