Shoppers are obsessed with this 79p vinegar trick for cleaning clothes and making washing feel and smell amazing

A woman’s genius cleaning hack has gone viral after she posted in a Facebook cleaning tips group.

Shopper Emma Louise revealed how she gets her clothes feeling and smelling amazing by adding a cap of white vinegar to her washing, reports the MEN .

She said: “Well after reading all your posts lately about ditching the softener and adding a capful of white vinegar to the washing instead, I jumped on the bandwagon and I am AMAZED - my washing has never smelt so nice or clean! And my washing machine is sparkling."

Alongside an image of Stardrops White Vinegar, she then added a note saying: “Any white vinegar is fine but I used this one, in Aldi at the minute 79p I think it was.. about an egg cup sized amount straight into the drawer in place of softener, and I use liquid tabs so they are in the drum.

"There is no vinegar smell on clothes I just get a much much stronger smell of detergent.. I have put my heating on slightly tonight and my house smells amazing."

Since Emma’s post, which received more than 1,500 people liking the post and more than 1,300 comments, other shoppers have been sharing their own experiences with the hack.

One user said: " I did this last month and will never go back."

The Stardrops vinegar spray featured in the post is currently being sold at Aldi for 79p, though any white vinegar will do the trick.
