Poundland shoppers are loving a £1 spray that helps keep shoes and coats waterproof

The UK has been hit with rain and bleak weather as autumn approaches, but savvy shoppers have found a clever way to stay prepared in wet and chilly conditions.

The cheap tent waterproofing spray from Poundland can be used to rainproof clothes - so it's little wonder that customers are snapping it up fast.

It costs only £1 and was originally spotted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group  where shoppers are praising the item for keeping their outerwear waterproof.

The waterproof spray is actually designed for using on tents, but people are discussing how well it works for shoes and coats.

One person commented: “Really like to thank the person that posted about Poundland selling waterproof spray £1.

“I’m always buying the aerosol from Aldi £1.49 as brilliant for shoes , coats, especially as we walk our dog on moor.”

Another shopper posting about the Poundland spray added: “Comments also suggest it’s good for raincoats etc too, win win!”

With summer coming to an end, and winter well and truly on the way, the waterproofing spray is sure to come in handy over the coming months.

If you're keen to try the popular item, you'll need to act quickly as it's already flying off the shelves.
