Shopper shares how she found 'bargain' Crocs for £5

An excited shopper has shared how she bought a pair of Crocs for £5.

Gemma Conroy shared her bargain on Facebook - and sparked a debate among fashion fans. She posted a photo of her yellow Crocs Classic Crush Clogs, which she bought from JD Williams.

Crocs have long caused debate in the fashion industry, but have seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. The clogs range in price online but can cost up to around £70.

In her post, Gemma said: "JD bargain. Just £5, perfect garden shoes. Not a fan of yellow myself, but £5 can't complain." While Gemma isn’t fond of the colour of her Crocs, the price sold her.

The Crocs Classic Crush Clog is touted as a “fresh and bold” take on the classic clog design, featuring a raised midsole that allows wearers to make a statement with an elevated silhouette. The slip-on style incorporates ventilation ports for breathability and efficient water and debris drainage.

The inclusion of a heel strap ensures a secure fit. The shoes are easy to clean, wipeable, and quick to dry.

Gemma's post racked up more than 1.3k likes and almost 600 comments. However, the comments section showcased a divided opinion.

Julie Richardson, who owns the white version of the Classic Crush Clog, shared her positive experience, stating, "I've got the white ones of these, The Classic Crush Clog. Not as wide as regular Crocs, so more feminine and a thicker sole. They are like marshmallows on your feet."

Dawn Rodham, an owner of the yellow pair, wrote: "I have a yellow pair, it's my favourite colour. I only got them for around the house, but so far, they have been to work, to the shops, and even to take my daughter to her riding lesson. I love them."

Gemma snapped her bargain Crocs up at JD Williams, where a range of the popular clogs are in the sale including the Crocs Classic Women's Clog and the Crocs Bistro Unisex Work Clog for £40, as well as the Crocs Classic Butterfly Sliders D Fit for £28.

FootAsylum also has a number of Crocs on sale such as the Crocs Womens Echo Slide for £29.99, Crocs Classic Clog in Chai/Tan for £32.99 and Womens Mellow Recovery Flip for £34.99.

Crocs also has a huge sale on, with prices starting from around £17 for adult shoes. You can shop the sale here.
