Toy sales are the perfect place to start.
Retailers including Sainsbury's, Argos, Smyths and more all have either started running them or are set to do so with some items half price.
With so much anticipation surrounding the sale, you can imagine the delight when a money-saving Facebook page claimed to know when Tesco would be starting its discounts.
Facebook group Money Saver Online shared an image in which details of when Smyths, Argos, Tesco and Sainsbury's would be launched the sales.
Although it was proven right regarding the dates of Smyths Toy Event and Argos' sale, Tesco has confirmed it won't be starting its savings on the date claimed.
The image says Tesco will start its sale on Tuesday, October 1 but the actual date is set to be Thursday, October 3.
