Shopkeeper threatened with knife during 'frightening' robbery

Police are investigating a robbery at a convenience store that involved a 'frightening incident' where the shopkeeper was threatened with a knife.

The incident happened in Main Road, Gedling, at around 1.35pm on Tuesday, February 15, as the shopkeeper attempted to intervene in the theft.

Nothing was taken and the victim was unhurt, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Two CCTV images have been released from Nottinghamshire police in an appeal to find out more information and are urging them to come forward.

Detective Constable Sean Parker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim and we are determined to track down whoever is responsible. These types of offences are taken extremely seriously by Nottinghamshire Police and we will always be very thoroughly investigated.

“We believe the people pictures in these images may have information that will help our enquiry and we urge them to come forward.”

If you recognise the people featured in these images please call 101 quoting incident 361 of 15 February.
