Shop workers 'threatened with crow bar during robbery'

A man has appeared in court after shop workers were threatened with a crow bar during a robbery, police said.

Shaun Dibble has been remanded in custody before his next hearing at Bristol Crown Court.

The 41-year-old, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of burglary and one of robbery.

He was arrested on Tuesday (October 1) in connection with a robbery at Cotswold Clothing on Union Street, Bristol, on September 25 where designer clothing was stolen and shop staff were threatened with a crow bar, police said.

He has also been charged with burglary following raids at the Fred Perry Store on Philadelphia Street, on August 15, and at the Traveller’s Rest public house in Pensford on August 9.

Dibble appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court yesterday (October 3).

The date for his next appearance at Bristol Crown Court has yet to be confirmed.
