A shop worker was hospitalised after he was threatened at knifepoint during an attempted robbery in Dublin city on Thursday.
The incident took place in a shop on Clanbrassil Street, in Dublin 8 just before 8pm when a man entered the store with a knife.
It is understood that the man threatened the shop worker, a male aged in his 20s, with the knife and the worker suffered a cut during the altercation.

The knife-wielding man left the shop empty-handed and the shop worker was taken to hospital for his injuries, which are not life-threatening.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardai from Kevin Street attended at the scene of an incident at a retail store on Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8, on Thursday May 19, 2022.
"The alarm was raised following reports of an attempted robbery at the premises shortly before 8pm. It’s understood a male entered the store an threatened a staff member at knife point before leaving the store on foot empty handed.
"The staff member (male 20s) was injured in the course incident and was taken to hospital for treatment to an apparent laceration. His injuries are non-life threatening.
"No arrests have been made enquiries are ongoing.
