A shop worker at The Mall in Cribbs Causeway has tested positive for coronavirus - but the shop has not yet been named.
The worker was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Friday (March 20) and is in self-isolation, according a memo from a company which manages the complex.
The retail store where the person was based is now closed and being cleaned 'thoroughly', the memo from CBRE said.
The shopping complex, which features John Lewis and Marks and Spencer, remains open.
Commonly-used areas such as entrances, security offices, toilets and food courts are being cleaned.
Bristol Live has contacted the owners of The Mall for comment.
This afternoon, a spokesman was unable to provide a name of the store where the worker had been based.

The news comes a day after it was revealed there have been 23 people in Bristol have been diagnosed with coronavirus. In South Gloucestershire, there have been 17 confirmed cases.
In the memo written by Paul Davies, business unit director of The Mall's asset managers, CBRE, reassurance was given to people currently working at the site.
He also urged people to work from home if they can.
He said: "We have been informed of a number of cases of symptoms consistent with the COVID-19 virus, and of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the centre.
"The confirmed case is a staff member of an occupier who to our knowledge was diagnosed on 20th March and we understand that the individual is now in isolation."
He added: "In the meantime, please be assured the occupier is arranging for the working area to be cleaned and/or sanitised thoroughly."
The memo comes after a message was posted on The Mall's website on Friday, thanking shoppers for their loyalty during 'these unprecedented times'.

It said 'touch points' across the centre were being sterilised on a regular basis.
Complementary hand sanitisers were also being provided at entrance points and the information desk.
A spokesman for CBRE did not want to make any additional comment.
