Shop London: cocktail mixing class with TT Liquor

Thursdays are the new Fridays, but if you’re saving this weekend for your Big Night Out, we’ve got a way you can wet your whistle before then. As part of our Shop London festival of events, workshops and talks, we’re laying on a free cocktail-making class for ES readers.

Hosted by TT Liquor, masters of all things cocktails, spirits, and high-quality alcohol, the business went from doing tasting experiences, supper clubs and film nights to online virtual classes once lockdown hit last year- and they’re still going strong.

Who are TT Liquor?

Based in the beating heart of Shoreditch, TT (Tatton &Thompson) Liquor boasts an intimate cellar cocktail bar and a specialist liquor store selling a handpicked selection of bottles, beverages and specialist equipment. When the PM announced the initial lockdown last spring, it turned its attention to making virtual cocktail making kits, transforming its whole second floor as it packed boxes to send to thirsty patrons worldwide.

What equipment will you need?

Although you can order a kit ahead of Thursday’s class, TT Liquor will show you how to make delicious bar-quality drinks with ingredients you’ve probably already got in stock. Think gin, vodka and rum-based beauties with clever tricks to impress your mates at your next gathering. Have a glass, ice and stirrer handy alongside some garnishes and of course, booze.

How long is the cocktail class?

This quick class will only take a speedy 20 minutes, leaving you plenty of time to taste test your creations afterwards.

Ready? Class is in session on Thursday, April 15 from 5pm
