On the opening day of Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park, a chaotic scene unfolded as one person was shot by police. The incident occurred after park security and police were forced to remove a large crowd of over 500 individuals from the property due to reports of unruly behavior.
According to authorities, the crowd had been running through the park and engaging in physical altercations before being escorted outside. Once outside the park, an unknown number of suspects reportedly opened fire on the police officers. In response, an officer discharged their weapon, striking one of the suspects who was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.
In a statement following the incident, Six Flags Over Georgia expressed disappointment over the events that transpired but assured guests that stringent security measures are in place throughout the park to ensure their safety.
