Law firm Shoosmiths has appointed two partners through an internal promotion and a new hire.
Real estate finance specialist Sheelagh Cooley, who joined Shoosmiths as a senior associate in 2014, is one of 13 staff promoted to partner firmwide.

Former Dentons partner Barry McKeown also joins with experience advising UK PLCs, property funds and large private corporates. He was most recently a real estate partner at Gunnercooke.
Corporate solicitor Jen Paton has promoted to senior associate and will focus on M&A remit in the Edinburgh corporate team led by partner Alison Gilson.
Shoosmiths ' real estate team in Scotland now numbers 22, following the recent recruitment of Gillian Ralph as a senior associate and Gillian Sidey and Rachael McCallum as solicitors.
