The latest blow to the high street means the town centre won't have any shoe shops.
Both Clarks and Brantano Footwear had stores in Kilmarnock but have closed in recent years.
The Kilmarnock Standard believes that Shoe Zone will close some time in September.
The move means that a number of jobs at the store are now at risk.
In recent months, Topshop and Thomas Cook have all axed their Kilmarnock shops.
The Kilmarnock Standard has contacted Shoe Zone for comment.
