Shocking video shows moment violent and abusive yob threatened to kill every passenger during a Ryanair flight

Terrifying footage shows the moment a man on board a Ryanair flight threatened to kill everyone on board after he was detained by fellow passengers.

Holidaymakers had been travelling from Manchester to Gran Canaria on Saturday evening when the passenger launched a terrifying tirade.

Footage shows the man threatening to kill "every single passenger" on board, after he was restrained by troubled holidaymakers.

Moments before, he had threatened to hit a female member of cabin crew with a fire extinguisher, it is alleged, reports the Manchester Evening News.

He has now been banned from flying with Ryanair indefinitely.

Jodie Fisher, 27, had been travelling to a festival with her younger sister when she claimed the man started abusing cabin crew.

Speaking from her hotel in Gran Canaria, Jodie said: "I could hear this guy at the front of the plane shouting and screaming things at other passengers.

"He came to the front of the plane and started throwing cups all over the floor of the plane.

"There were three members of cabin crew - one male and two females, but they were all Spanish so I think they struggled to understand him."

Jodie says the man made repeated attempts to pull open one of the plane's doors midway through the flight.

"He took the fire extinguisher off the wall and threatened to hit the female member of cabin crew with it," Jodie added.

Jodie said she and her sister Jeorgia, 20, tried to get the man to sit back in his seat but claims he became out of control.

"He grabbed hold of my top and ripped it. He broke my phone and ripped my watch off my wrist," she said.

"He bit my sister on the arm and he was about to bite me on the leg before a man and a woman came over and jumped on him.

"Passengers and crew had to hold him down on the floor for about 45 minutes - it was awful."

The man in the video can be heard saying: "I will kill every single one of you.

"You work at a f******* airport you fat ****.

"Oh you think it's funny? I will literally burn your house down I promise you.

"Come on, do whatever you can you fat ****."

He continues: "I will literally burn your house down. I've grown up in Little Lever, Bolton and I will defend for myself.

"I will literally fight every one of you and kill you, and don't think I'm joking, I will kill every one of you."

Jodie said the whole experience had left her and other passengers terrified.

She claims there were children and young families on board the flight.

"He was trying to open the door of the plane and you're sat there thinking, is he actually going to do it," Jodie said.

"The air hostess was so upset, she was crying her eyes out.

"Me and my sister are only small and if it wasn't for us, he probably would have hit her with that fire extinguisher."

Jodie says the man was detained by Spanish police as the plane landed in Gran Canaria, but says she has not heard anything since.

A spokesperson for Ryanair said: "The crew of this flight from Manchester to Gran Canaria on May 4 requested police assistance upon landing after a passenger became disruptive mid-flight.

"The safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.

"This passenger has been banned from flying with Ryanair again and this is now a matter for local police."
