Shocking video shows kids kicking and punching each other senseless in street brawl

Sickening Sickening footage of armed youths attacking Aintree racegoers near train station sparking mass brawl  captured a large group of teenagers fighting each other in a Merseyside street.

The film shows the group of youths kicking and punching each other after a fight broke out in Seaforth yesterday. The violence flared in the Gladstone Road and Ash Grove area at around 4pm on Wednesday.

The film showed two groups of youths, some of whom were dressed in black, fighting each other in the street.  Young people were punched, kicked and beaten to the floor  as residents desperately pleaded with the teens to stop.

The trouble appeared to start with a group of young people fighting on a pavement. A teenager dressed in a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms then ran across the road and attacked another boy. He grabbed the teenager in a head lock, kneed him in the face and landed several heavy punches on him. A member of the public was then seen to try and intervene.

A second fight then broke out next to a parked car, and then there was a third fight on a section of pavement involving several teenagers. A group of three lads repeatedly kicked a boy on the floor.

The group then attack a masked youth dressed in black, who suddenly appeared on a street corner. A girl was seen to intervene and tried to protect him.

Toward the end of the clip one of the youths dressed in black collapsed, and had to be held up by his friends. He appeared to have suffered a degree of concussion.

Residents could be heard screaming at the boys to stop fighting and one woman could be seen bravely trying to break-up the fight. Schoolchildren in their uniforms watched the violence.

Former ward councillor Jack Colbert, who has lived in Seaforth all his life,  spoke out about the fight. He said: "I have seen the video on social media and it is truly shocking.

"Seaforth has a problem with this kind of behaviour and we need help. Ordinary people are frightened and intimidated. It's such a shame.

"We can't just rely on the police. We need our community to come together and work with the police and other agencies."

A police spokesman told the ECHO that they were called out to the area following reports of fighting.

A spokesman said: "We are appealing for information following a report of fighting in the Seaforth area yesterday, 24 April.  At around 4.10pm, a call was received following a group of youths fighting in Gladstone Road and Ash Grove. Officers attended and the youths had made off. No injuries were reported or complaints made.
