Shocking scenes show large group ignoring social distancing rules on packed Dublin Bus leaving Howth

These shocking images show a packed Dublin Bus bringing passengers back home from a popular seaside spot with no regard for social distancing.

The 31 bus travelling from Howth to Talbot Street was pictured at around 9pm on Tuesday evening with over 20 people mulling around on the lower deck.

The video seen by Dublin Live was shot from the stairs, looking down onto the lower deck.

It is not known how many people, if any, were upstairs on the bus at the time.

Large groups of all ages can be seen sitting together ignoring the yellow social distancing markers on the seats, and taking up space on the walkways, making social distancing impossible.

The video was taken on the final day of a run of Mediterranean temperatures in the capital, with the heatwave set to come to an end today.
