Two men were injured after a car drove into a Co Down flute band during a parade last night.

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, said that it was lucky that someone was not killed.

She said: "Absolutely shocking scenes tonight in Rathfriland when a car drove through two bands. Only for the brave actions of some there could have been someone killed.

"Anyone with any information please come forward. I have spoken with the Police and will ensure this is fully investigated. They have asked anyone with video footage to come forward."

Police are now asking anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact them on non-emergency number 101.
