'Shocking price!' Swansea City fans fume after Tottenham's £11m move for Joe Rodon

Swansea fans have weighed in on Joe Rodon's transfer to Tottenham on a deal worth up to £15m.

The Wales international sealed a move to Spurs late on transfer deadline day, with the London club paying £11m plus add-ons for the 22-year-old.

The defender, who links up with Wales teammates Gareth Bale and Ben Davies at his new club, had been the subject of intense negotiations between the two clubs for days, with the Swans initially holding out for their valuation of around £18m.

It's safe to say some Swans fans feel they should have commanded a higher fee than they have.

Here's a flavour of how some Jacks reacted:

Amid the disappointment, plenty of fans also took the chance to wish Rodon well for the future as he joins Spurs.

Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho earlier praised his "genius" chairman Daniel Levy as he declared himself delighted with the club's transfer work - which saw them add Swans' Rodon to their ranks.

Speaking at a press conference earlier on Friday, Mourinho said: "It's a great occasion because everything closes today including the EFL clubs. I have to thank everyone involved, my boss Mr Levy.

"Mr Levy showed once again that when he's involved he's a genius in the way he makes deals happen.

"Now it's for me and my staff and players to have a really good season."
