Police have released shocking images of a crash involving a car and a lorry which have driven into bushes off the M1.
The crash happened on the southbound stretch of the motorway between junctions 29 (Mansfield/Chesterfield) and J28 (Tibshelf).
Debris has been scattered across the motorway following the crash and delays are reportedly building.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Sunday afternoon (May 24).
Police said all people involved in the crash escaped with minor injuries.
A tweet from Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit, which released the pictures, said: "M1 Southbound J29 to J28. Currently only one lane open due to collision. HGV vs car.
"Car was travelling in limp mode in lane one when the HGV crashed into the back of it.
"All parties including four occupants of car escape with only minor injuries."
