Bins were left overflowing after piles of rubbish were dumped in Hyson Green.
Bags of waste, smashed-up furniture, rugs, prams and what appears to be a fridge or freezer were all dumped in a street in the area.
The rubbish has since been cleared by the city council's fly-tipping team.
Labour councillor Merlita Bryan who represents the Hyson Green and Arboretum ward praised the clean-up and urged residents to think about what to with waste.
She said: "It's great to see this work being done by the fly-tipping team.
"We try very hard to keep the area clean and a nice place to live. I have a lot of praise for them.
"People need to think about what they are doing with their waste. The city council has a bulk waste team that can be called. The council will come and pick things up.

"Please don't dump things, call the council. It costs money every time to come out and clean up stuff that has been dumped and it just doesn't look good for the area."
