Shocking pictures have revealed the damage caused after ram-raiding thugs ploughed a van into a south Dublin shop overnight.
The Spar store in Orlagh Grove in Knocklyon was the victim of a break-in after the vehicle smashed its way through a locked entrance at 2.25am this morning.
Pictures show a mangled shutter as well as debris and broken items scattered on the floor.
A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí responded to a burglary of a premises in Orlagh Grove, Knocklyon on November 19 at approximately 2.25am.
"Significant damage was caused to the premises due to a car colliding into the front of the premises. Investigation are ongoing.”
